Responsibilities/Tasks:
- Ensure strict overall safety culture & procedures are implemented and followed within operations
- Direct the analysis and interpretation of the results of medium and high actual risk or potential incidents with the view of identifying common features & trends, and to build & implement a strategic plan of improvements that prevents future recurrences
- Lead departmental function through inspections, audits, training programs and initiatives
- Evaluate & ensure that the products are safely stored in accordance with all the safety procedures in place
- Lead the facility needs in the warehouses through a well maintained operations & maintenance schedule & inspections
- Manage, supervise & coordinate the work of contractors
- Ensure that the agreed work between staff & contractors has been completed satisfactorily and follow up on any deficiencies
- Lead the security function within the warehouses & ensure the security of all staff, assets and products
Profile/Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in science engineering
- Two years experience in ISO 14001, Internal Auditor & other EHS certifications
- NEBOSH certification is an advantage
- Very good knowledge in the field of environment, occupational health & safety and related legal requirements
